Marcos Devers- Engineer/School Teacher

Marcos was born in Dominican Republic. He holds a degree in civil engineer from the autonomy university of Santo Domingo in 1978. He also lived in Puerto Rico for several years. moving to Lawrence in 1987.
In 1991 ran his first political campaign as a councilor-at-large losing his first attempt as a political newcomer. After trying a few times, he finally became a councilor in 1999, topping the ballots for councilor-at-large. He was re-elected in 2001 and 2003 becoming the first hispanic to be elected Council President. He also made history in September of 2001, when he became interim mayor of Lawrence, MA. and the stae of Massachusetts.
Marcos and his wife Vickie have been happily married for 23 years. They have have four grown childrens. They're proud lawrencians and live at 16 Woodland St in the city of Lawrence.

Dianne Cruz- Principal (Lawrence High School)/Math/Science

Dianne Domenech Cruz was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts in 1969. She is the daughter of Rafael Domenech of Ponce, Puerto Rico and Ada Santana of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. A product of the Lawrence Public School system, Dianne excelled in her academics and won a full four-year scholarship to Merrimack College. She graduated with a degree in electrical engineering but decided to give back to her community and enter the education field. She has been an elementary school teacher, a GED teacher, a high school math and science teacher and is currently the principal of the Math, Science and Technology school at the Lawrence High Campus. During her years in the education field, she received her Masters in Education degree from Salem State College and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. She proudly serves her city, a true Lawrencian, in many committees and continues to work diligently for the children of Lawrence through the Lawrence Public School system. She is also an active member of her church, New Hope Free Methodist Church in Lawrence. She is married with husband Alex for 21 years and has two children: Andres, 19 and Cassandra, 17. They currently live in the Mount Vernon area of Lawrence.

Joe Parolisi- City Counselor/Former Dept. of Recreation Director

Joe Parolisi was born in Lawrence Mass and has been a lifelong resident of Lawrence. Joe attended school in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School. He is an Army veteran and served in Korea. Joe worked for the city of Lawrence for 35 years in the capacity of Lawrence Recreation Director and is currently serving on the Lawrence City Council where he chairs the Budget and Finance committee. Joe has served on many boards in the city such as Greater Lawrence Community Action Council, Lawrence Boating Program, Lawrence Firefighters Credit Union, YMCA Golf League and President of the Lawrence Boxing Program.
Joe loves working with the youth of Lawrence that is why he revived the Lawrence Boxing Program; his vision is to lead as many kids as possible in the right direction. Joe is very active in the community in such a way that it has made an impact on various organizations.

Wilfredo T. Laboy

Wilfredo T. Laboy is the Superintendent of Schools in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He is in his sixth year as superintendent , and has displayed a bold leadership coupled with the development of broad consensus for educational change. Upon his arrival in Lawrence, Mr. Laboy declared a year of Literacy, focusing the entire school system toward one universal goal - improving the teaching and learning of reading of reading and writing in grades Pre to-K12.

Chief J. Romero

Lawrence police Chief J. Romero, left has been name Chief of the year by the Major City Police Association. Police chiefs from 27 Massachusetts lauded Romero for his "superior leadership, outstanding efforts and innovative program that decreased insurance fraud and resulted in a significant decline in insurance rates for citizens of Lawrence. At his right is newly appointed fire chief Peter Tarkovian.

Frank Bonet

Mr. Frank Bonet was born Newark, NJ. He attended his elementary school in NJ and the secondary in PR. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the United States Army. Attended the University of Maryland-College University (U.M.U.C.)of Europe in Heidelberg, Germany and Thomas State College in New Jersey. Presently Frank is the Director of the Personnel in Lawrence MA.
